Delete and restore tickets
Delete a ticket or mark it as spam, and restore it from Deleted tickets within 30 days.
Delete a ticket
- Open the ticket and choose Ticket options, then Delete.
- Confirm with Delete ticket.
The ticket moves to Deleted tickets, where it stays for 30 days. After that it is removed for good.
To delete several tickets, select them in a view and choose More actions, then Delete.
Mark as spam
Mark as spam deletes the ticket and suspends the requester, so their next emails go to Suspended tickets instead of creating tickets. Use it for junk, not for difficult customers.
Restore a ticket
- Open Views and choose Deleted tickets.
- Tick the tickets, or use the row’s Restore.
- Choose Restore.
The list shows who deleted each ticket, when, and when it will be removed.
Delete permanently
In Deleted tickets, choose Delete permanently on a ticket. Its comments and attachments are removed for good. This cannot be undone.
Permissions
Your role needs the view deleted tickets or delete tickets permission to see Deleted tickets.
