Give ChaosDesk support temporary access
Let our support team look into a problem in your workspace, for a limited time, with everything logged.
ChaosDesk support can’t see your workspace unless an admin allows it. When you need help with a problem, you can let support sign in as one of your agents for a limited time.
Allow access
- Open Admin Center, Security & compliance, Support access.
- Under Allow for, pick how long: 1 hour, 8 hours, 1 day, 3 days, 7 days or 30 days.
- Under What support may do, choose:
- View only: support sees what the agent sees but can’t change anything;
- View and change: support may also make changes, which appear in your audit log under their name.
- Choose Allow support access.
In every mode, support never sees API tokens, webhook secrets, connector credentials or sign-in settings, and can’t export data or change billing.
While support is in
A banner tells your team when support is in the workspace, as whom and until when. Support sessions lists every visit: who, signed in as whom, the reason, when, and how many requests and changes they made.
- End session signs that support person out right away. Support access itself stays on.
- Revoke access ends access completely, and any session in progress.
Every support session, and everything it opened or changed, is also in the admin audit log.
